AWAKENING THE SNOW
Hi, feels like this wonderful time is
January of 2016, yes it’s new years, no
resolutions, no target that I make to walk
along the school hall, now I think days
feeling really different after what I got in
the first three months live here , in the
middle of no where, well it’s not no where
it just in the middle of Vermont, yes, I
moved to new place which is make me
think what the difference between these
places, being here just really wonderful,
small town school, small town friends but
the story about new place always bigger
than what I think. Okay,I was moved to
very little tiny town, which is I think it
only two hundreds people living there, but
,really sweet town I think. Weird it
was really weird they said, but It was
good I said “ weird Bimo !” my host
mom said to me, it was December 27 th and
no snow on the ground, we supposed to be
have two feet of snow by the end of
December but my sense of exiteness not
lost yet, that’s because I never seen snow
before.
Finally something white falling down
from the sky in December 29 th and it’s the
thing that Vermonters always wait, ya
maybe it’s because Vermonters love cold
weather and they have thick skin, well it’s
only myth and sometimes busted,
Vermonters just love snow because their
economic come from the snow and their
teaching the strong culture trough out their
kids to play and survive in the thickness of
snow.
New years is coming, I was
celebrated it in my couch together with
my self, I just fell surprised that most of
American doesn’t celebrated new years
like in my hometown, anyway, it was not
any fire work, concert or crowded thing
around the main town, well absolutely I
have reason for it may be they don’t
wanna spend money for unimportant
thing, and then it was cold because it was
sixteenth degrees Fahrenheit or about
twelve degrees Celsius below zero. First
day of 2016 I went to hill around the town
with my brother and father to sledding
even it wasn’t not enough snow and I
knew that I was born to enjoy the snow,
well no of course not I just love snow so
much no matter how cold is that I just feel
thankful can play on it.
Moved from big city to small town
sometime you have adjust to the new
place, there is no crowded, skyscraper,
restaurant or a big stores, “Welcome to
Vermont” if sometimes if you want to go
and understand the culture and people you
have move to other place so you can
understand every side of one place is
completely different, in big city you got
glamour life style, everything is dynamic
but in the small town, you not going to see
any kind of that stuff. Red barn, Cover
bridges, cow but here they have strong
family connection , they now everybody,
and work hard together like what I did in
the first Community service in Randolph,
we make blood drive and a lot of people
was participated in that event and also we
help a lot of students from Nepal to built
their school and to support their life, and
the first thing that I think in my head is
how do they get idea to do all of this
wonderful job because I have never
imagine to do something like what are the
doing.
“What thing did I do here ?”, that
might be one of question that people ask
to me when I moved to smaller town, well
it’s a lot thing to do, from walking in the
wood to skiing and snow boarding, one
thing that I always think is if I can try it
why not.
